In late September of 2026, we bought a school!!!!  It's not just any school... its actually the first public school in Selma. The 3-story Victorian Dallas Academy was built in 1880.  She is simply charming even crested with a belfry.  We have decided to call her Byrdsong, since that is the art of Bird, (Trés' iconic figure in many of his paintings, and  the name of home is Byrdland.)

Our plans for Byrdsong is to open an art center in Selma.  She will have one floor as our community-art center, one floor Trés' gallery and studio, and the third floor will house artist-in residence and Air-BnBs for guests.
