It has been said many times that Maurice Chavel is a very accomplished ballroom dancer and avid birdwatcher who can play a piano that magically made birds flock to Byrdland. Many people tried to imitate him, but no one was ever able to do so. Eventually, the villagers stopped trying and concluded that Maurice was a magician who had learned this skill at the crossroads.

 

All of the art works are painted and carved on tarpaper, mounted on a wood frame, and finished with marine varnish.
